Mein 2016 veröffentlichtes Buch „Sushi Guide“ ist am 11.8.2021 auch auf Englisch erschienen. Der Langtitel des Buchs ist: „Sushi Guide: Picture guide, etiquette manual and dictionary for lovers of Japanese cuisine“. Im Buch sind 32 Farbfotos und 54 Illustrationen abgedruckt, die von Theresa Fischer in mühevoller Kleinarbeit gezeichnet wurden.
Ich habe das Buch geschrieben, weil mir aufgefallen ist, dass die meisten Deutschen im Sushi-Restaurant oft nur Sushi-Rollen bestellen. Mit diesem Buch lernt Ihr die ganze Vielfalt beim Sushi und die dabei verwendeten Fische genauer kennen. Ein umfangreicher Knigge zeigt korrekte und falsche Verhaltensweisen bei der Verwendung von Stäbchen, Sojasauce, Wasabi und Ingwer. Durch die Beachtung dieser Regeln und Einhaltung einer bestimmten Reihenfolge beim Verzehr genießt Ihr Sushi fortan auf höchstem Niveau. Ein Wörterbuch hilft beim Lesen von Speisekarten und der Verständigung mit dem Sushi-Koch und dem Servicepersonal. Was leider fehlt sind Empfehlungen für Sushi-Restaurants im englischsprachigen Ausland.

My book „Sushi Guide“, first published in 2016, is available in English since 11st August 2021. The long title of the book is: „Sushi Guide: Picture guide, etiquette manual and dictionary for lovers of Japanese cuisine“. The book contains 32 colour photos and 54 illustrations, which were painstakingly drawn by Theresa Fischer.
I wrote the book because I noticed that most Germans often only order sushi rolls in sushi restaurants. With this book, you will get to know the whole variety of sushi and the fish used. An etiquette guide shows correct and incorrect manners when using chopsticks, soy sauce, wasabi and ginger. By observing these rules and following a certain order when eating, you will enjoy sushi at the highest level. A dictionary helps you read menus and communicate with the sushi chef and service staff.
